Big Tobacco

This one smells like tobacco.

Big Tobacco is a tobacco soliflore, a genre traditionally meant to capture the profile of a single flower. A soliflore should be straightforward and elegant, but complex enough to be interesting, exploiting different nuances as the fragrance travels through time. 

Top to bottom, this is an expression of the entire tobacco plant. While not as sweet as most tobacco fragrances out there, it opens with an earthy, honeyed facet of pipe tobacco. It blooms into the living tobacco flower, then dries down to something like freshly cut hay: the drying leaves of the tobacco plant, the memory of a cigarette at the bottom of an empty box.

This provides a cozy embrace in fall and winter, but works perfectly in warmer months, too.
