She comes to you in the night, softly whispering your name. Her sweet perfume envelopes you in the warmth of spring. Dusty tuberose, narcotic jasmine and saffron flower flood your senses. You forget, for a moment, as she takes you into her arms and the world feels whole again. Until the scent of her crypt begins to suffocate you. The desiccated wood, the dead flowers, the rusted iron gates. By the time she draws you close enough to recognize the sting of metallic musk it's far too late.
